Accommodation: Avillion Cameron Highland

Thank you for the hospitality from Avilion Cameron Highland. Going up to Cameron Highlands from Simpang Pulai means one reaches Brinchang first. It is also the highest accessible point by road in Cameron Highlands. The road that leads to Cameron Highlands from Simpang Pulai is much easier to negotiate.

They are wider and drivers would find it safer to drive. On the other hand, if one travels from Tapah, he or she will first reach the town of Ringlet, which is the lowest point of the highlands. Mid-way between Ringlet and Brinchang is the town of Tanah Rata where a bulk of activities can be found here.

Avillion Cameron Highlands is nestled in Tanah Rata, the largest township in the highlands and located only a few hundred meters from Cameron Highlands’ main public transportation hub, the bus station from Kuala Lumpur. No matter you are traveling with families or friends, or even here for a business trip, this chic and contemporary Avilion Cameron Highland is your top choice.

Boh Tea Plantation
Fresh Air Green tea Matcha Cake

Cameron Highlands’ tea plantations make 70% of all the tea for Malaysia. BOH has two Tea Centers which one is located at Sungai Palas Estate and the other at BOH Habu Estate (near Ringlet). Sungai Palas Tea Center offers a magnificent view of tea garden and architecture, whereas BOH Habu Tea Center gives you more of a country and heritage feel. These breathtaking views are perfect for stunning photographs. The tea tastes pretty amazing too.

BOH plantation was founded in 1929. At BOH, spend about 2 hours at the tea plantation and join the free factory tours showcasing how the tea is processed and packaged for distribution both locally and internationally.

The tea center also features an exhibition hall to assist in your tea education as well as souvenir and tea shop to take home some memories. At the end you will find yourself sitting in the shop, drinking tea, eating cake and scones and admiring the 8000 acres of tiered, rolling hills for hours without noticing the time passing by.

The journey to the summit of the BOH Visitor Centre at Sungei Palas is narrow and winding. Watch out for cars that coming opposite ways as some part of the road only allows one car to pass at a time. Entrance is FREE. Open Daily from 9am to 4.30pm (Closes on Mondays).
Big Fat Strawberry Farm
Big Red Strawbery Farm is a place that you must visit in Cameron Highlands. Located within walking distance from the Brinchang town, it’s an ideal place to visit come rain or shine. With all it has to offer visitors, the Big Red Strawberry Farm is more than just a farm, it’s a destination on its own! There are many different types of flowers, cactus, strawberries, animals and other plants grown at the farm. Kids will equally enjoy the self-plucking big fat strawberry experience too. It is suitable for all ages to visit.
Be amazed by how fresh the lettuces and strawberries are, as they were grown systematically via hydroponically method. There is also a mini zoo with animals like rabbits, birds, ducks, and chickens. The eatery sections serve a huge variety of servings. You can find strawberry milkshake, strawberry sundae, juices, ice-creams, muffins, scones, fresh salad, cakes, tarts, tea and many more.

If you are purchasing the butterhead lettuce, red corals lettuce or green corals lettuce, make sure to bargain with them.

Cameron Lavender Garden

Cameron Lavender Garden is one of the more recent attractions that open in the year 2013. The garden features a very beautiful lavender field with an assortment of other continental flowers on display, fringed with colorful statues and objects inspired by European countryside scenery.
You will get to see a beautiful lavender garden with cute-looking scenery. It wasn’t as big as compared to the big red strawberry Farm, but it’s very beautiful too.

I love this Lavender Ice-Cream 😛 Then there are many different flowers with different colors in a different segment of the garden. It is nice to look at and enjoy the scenery while relaxing yourself.
Entrance Fee: RM10. Operation hours: 9 am – 6 pm (Monday – Thursday); 9 am – 7 pm (Friday – Sunday)

Comment below if you ever been to other places in Cameron Highland which you think is worth to pay a visit! 😀
I think I’m in love with this place! I love how the Cameron Lavender Garden is inspired by the European Country Side. And the Big Fat Strawberry Garden is a huge, mini-vacation destination unto itself.
Seem like a new and nice place to stay in Cameron Highlands. Will give it a try next visit.
Oh ya, Remember to try Cameron Highlands sweet corn too. Really sweet and juicy. Especially the white sweet corn that can only be found in Cameron Highlands.
