Jelutong, Penang
When was your last time you did your eye check up? I am not surprise to find out that many of the youngsters never have their eyes examine before. However, there are so many cases where adolescents have visual problems or even worst diagnose with eye disease at a very young age. There goes the saying, “Prevention is better than cure”. Today, I would love to share my personal experience with my readers on how to have a better “Vision” in life.

Owning a talent agency and also a model myself, I have been working hard lately to keep up with the demands in life. No doubts that staring at my laptop and smartphones has been implemented in my daily routine for as long as 7 years until today. Living in this era where iPhone 8, iPhone 8+, iPhone X and maybe iPhone “S” coming out soon, everyday, I wake up with a fatigue and super dry eyes and yet I have no choice but to look good in front of my clients and always stay alert at work. I am also use to reading and watching videos under dim light and that forces my eyes to work harder than usual as they strain to focus on tiny words.

Lucky enough, I came across this clean and blueish catchy logo “Eye & Glasses Optometrist” on Facebook a few days ago. They provide a complete set of eye examination in just 45 minutes which include all possible eye problems that can be prevented. Eyesight is one of the crucial parts in my life that is so valuable in helping me to sustain my senses. I can’t imagine losing my eye sight at such a young age. Having said that, I decided to drive all the way to Penang to pay a visit at this legendary Optometry shop at Jelutong, Penang! (not forgetting to grab some delicious cakes, chicken rice and O-jien along the way! 😛 )

Before going into all the jargon and terminologies which will probably scares you off, I want encourage every single individual to at least go for an eye exam no matter how healthy you think you are. Even the healthiest person may be blind one day without taking care of their eyes. As we get older, age-related eye conditions are more likely to crop up. Look out for common eye symptoms like :
- Sore, tired, burning or itching eyes
- Watery or dry eyes
- Blurred or double vision
- Headache
- Sore neck, shoulders or back
- Distorted lines
- Increased sensitivity to light
- Difficulty concentrating
- Feeling that you cannot keep your eyes open

Oh, did I forget to mention this? Eye examination doesn’t hurt at all ! 80% of the blindness can be prevented by eye examination regularly. By now, you might be so eager to go for a eye examination but hold on a second, where should I do my eye examination?

If you google up the best Optometrist in Kuala Lumpur, you will get them in private Hospitals or Sunway Medical which could cost you a pretty penny! Why not pay a visit to this small and cozy shop in Penang managed by a couple. They provide the most comprehensive eye examination (not the usual eye power examination) first time in my life. Now, let me have the honor to bring you through the Correct and Proper Eye Examination Process :
