Sun kissed Skin adventure

I almost missed flight on the first day early morning when I reach the airport only an hour prior to the departure time. It was merely my fault because I never thought that the airport rules are so strict nowadays. Thank God my charms still works after years ( feeling saved). It is always better to be early than sorry. So, folk, PLEASE arrive at the airport as early as 2 hours before to avoid any anxiety especially if you have a weak heart.

Besides the miracle coast and crystal white beach of Krabi, I can assure you that all the resorts and hotels that I stayed in Krabi are the best part of my trip because I spent most of my time staying in the resort due to some unforeseen circumstances ( You’ll know why later). I stayed in three different resorts with different themes and experience. Chances are, you will experience three different styles of resorts in one trip.

First Day – Aonang Fiore Resort : This is a resorts decorated in a tropical style with traditional walkway, decorations, aroma, and stunning bedroom. There is a long walkway to reach your hotel according to your room number. Despite having to take the buggy back and forth, I was astonished with the decoration and the aroma the moment I step into my room. The unique shape of the room is like a pointed house with warm lighting. You can feel the windswept when the door is open. The location of the resort is tranquil and serene. It is the best place for travelers to relax their mind and soul right at this Aonang Fiore Resort. In fact, another best part of this resort is the breakfast view. The first thing you want to do after you wake up is to enjoy your big breakfast with a picturesque view, and there you go!

One of the MUST do thing in Krabi is to snorkeling or diving if you have a license. The water in Krabi island is crystal clear like diamonds shining on the water surface. Fishes are not afraid to swim around you but you can’t catch them obviously. If you are as adventurous as me, try jumping off the boat with your GoPro to capture that amazing jump moment! Believe me or not, you will never forget that experience!

After snorkeling at 3 different spots in Phi Phi Island, we finally reached the shore and enjoyed our lunch here at Ma-Ying Seafood Restaurant. The presentation of the Thai’s foods served were impressive. We were first served with a welcome drink – apple, pineapple ( Suddenly thought of that APPA song.. urghhh) Then, we had raw vegetables, tom yang kong, mixed vegetables, shredded coconut, fried cashew nuts and meats and many more!

Koh Klang is another attractive place to venture in Krabi. It’s a laid back life while enjoying the nature’s Eco-tourism. Koh Klang Village, Krabi province is a charming, peaceful island, located 5 minutes away from Krabi town. It is populated mainly by Muslim small fisher families. 70% of the villages work in agriculture. Most families are fishers, followed by rice farming, and tending coconut and banana orchards. The remaining 30% inhabitants are traders or civil servants. Koh Klang is not a paradise of white sand beaches but a traditional fishing community where relationship between islanders and the sea can be observed. It is the best place for visitors to experience the nature and culture of community arts and crafts groups.

Poor puffer fish, it’s not painful at all!

The second interesting part in this small island of Koh Klang is the Patae Textiles group which was founded in 2002. This group was founded by Prajim Lekdum and now managed by a committee. The group provides an important income source, in addition to fishing. Demonstration and DIY tutorials are available all day. You also able to do hands-on Patae coloring and drawing on a piece of white cloth like what we did here! It’s fun to discover and bring out your young time talents once again. What I began to realized after coloring the patae is that the most important thing to put into our design is heart. It creates the cheerful enthusiasm, creativity, and innovation of a person’s hidden talent. Every stroke of the brush represent your directions in life.

The second famous job in Koh Klang is the Rice Farmer’s group which has a conserved practice and spirit of rice farming. They plant and harvest the “Sang Yod” rice strain, which provide a delicious rice for everyone in the village. If you are coming to Koh Klang to experience and witness the harvest, August and December are the harvest season there. The best time to come is from 6am to 9am and 4pm to 6.30pm.

Second Day – Deevana Krabi Resort : This resorts gives me a totally different experience compared to the first day stay in Aonang. It gives travelers the modern and elegant feel with classy decorations and lighting. You don’t feel like you are actually staying in Krabi because it provides a 5-stars hotel atmosphere and services. The breakfast is great and the staffs are nice. Furthermore, it is located 6km away from the city centre and 20mins away to Krabi airport. The facilities in Deevana are complete with sport and fitness facilities, children facilities, meeting rooms, stunning swimming pools, and more. In overall, I would say it is a quality and comfortable stay that I will strongly recommend to my friends who are looking into a luxury stay in Krabi. It cost roughly RM1000+ – to spend a night here.

The moment you reach Deevana Resort!

However, my Krabi trip was a disaster. I had serious diarrhea and throw out the whole night. I couldn’t sleep well and I almost give up sleeping on my bed. I vomited nearly 10 times and felt like it’s the end of the world. I thought it was the foods in Thailand that are either not clean or perhaps I have been eating clean all these while and my stomach could not accept it. I went and consult the doctor the next day and had 5 different medicines. It was a terrible and suffering night for me. As the sayings goes :”The unluckiest person always get the bad luck on and on.” So there you go, another incident happened to me the next morning when I was taking my breakfast, someone hit my arm unconsciously and my plate fell directly to the floor, cutting through my hands and legs. I was still weak after recovering from my sickness, I could barely hold the plate firmly. Gladly, the staffs were kind enough to clean and bandage my wound. Bravos to the service here in Deevana Report!

I have no idea if anyone will use the bath tub outside?

Third day – Pakasai Resort: I couldn’t wake up and join the rest of the bloggers for the last day but I were able to enjoy the hotel room all by myself. Pakasai Resort was located amidst a tropical garden setting near Aonang Beach in Krabi. It offers comfortable accommodation and a range of facilities just like Deevana Resorts. Still, Deevana is my first choice because Pakasai required me to climb 3 floors to reach my hotel room when I was not feeling well that time. However, their bedroom is the most eye-catching thing of all things. I love the way it arrange its interior. It is spacious compared to the second resort.

Open air bath tubs are famous in Krabi.

All in all, it was an unforgettable trip in Krabi. The best part of this trip is none other than the people I hang out with throughout the trips. Too bad, I had bad food poisoning and missed out the chances to visit the emerald pool and hot spring bath. A gentle reminder to all travelers who are going to Krabi, please be careful on what you eat and bring extra food poisoning medicine for curing. (Touch Wood) 😛
