Today, I was invited to a special eatery called Juan Valdez Café. Their specialty here is none other than coffee! So, if you’re a coffee lover, you won’t wanna miss out! Grab your coffee partner quick (I am sure you definitely have one) and try their one and only premium Colombian coffee selections. There are more than 300 stores worldwide in 13 countries which includes Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Chile, Kuwait, and more. Malaysia’s first and only store is located at the heart of out nation’s capital, Kuala Lumpur. It is located inside Intermark hotel and let me tell you, immediately i feel its uplifted atmosphere once I enter the store as the waiters and baristas welcome me with bright smile and warm gestures.

The first session they had planned for me was the food review session, starting off with starters, main course, arepas, followed by desserts. The next session is a little bit more exciting for me, the ultimate coffee experience so to speak. Chosen for their size and unique qualities, their 100% Arabica beans reflected the diversity of the Colombian Andes Mountain offering a great variety of flavours ranging from mild to strong taste that satisfies every palate.

Fernando, a certified and expert coffee brewer from Colombia itself, explained the history of coffee and the way it was brewed differ from the typical coffee machine. It was either brewed by syphon, French press, chemex or dripper V60.

You can choose your favorite coffee ranging from Antioquia Coffee, Chocolate Freeze Dried Coffee, Cumbre Coffee, Huila Coffee, or Colina Coffee and even have Fernando to demonstrate it for you. Of course you can also request a brief introduction to each coffee selected if you are interested, I did. :p You are also able to purchase the coffee beans from the store and brew it yourself. But I suggest you look out for the brew master here. :O
